Cashless Facility
A cashless facility in health insurance allows you as an insured person to take treatment in a network hospital for a covered condition without paying upfront to the hospital. Instead, your insurance company pays the hospital directly for your treatment.
Cashless facilities are available at network hospitals which are empaneled with the insurance company. Hence, insurance with a large network of hospitals in your area or city of residence should be preferred over others.
