The insurance ombudsman is an alternate grievance redressal platform set up by the Government of India to resolve grievances of aggrieved policyholders.
If your insurer is unable to resolve your grievance, you can reach out to the insurance ombudsman. Different ombudsmen are appointed to serve different territories. Make sure you reach out to the right ombudsman to file your grievance.
An insurance ombudsman acts as a mediator between you and your insurer and provides fair recommendations based on the facts of your case.
