Migration
Migration in health insurance refers to the switching of coverage from one insurance plan to another at the time of renewal with the same insurer.
As mandated by IRDAI, the insurance regulator in India, the migration facility is available to all policyholders, including all members under a family floater plan or members of a group health insurance policy. Migration comes with the transfer of credits gained for waiting for pre-existing diseases or specific diseases under the old policy.
